Lutes Win 15 Events in Exhibition Opener

Results

TACOMA, Wash. — Ten different Lutes won events on Thursday night as the Pacfic Lutheran University swimming programs knocked off the rust with an exhibition dual meet against the University of La Verne.

"This was a fun way for us to shake off the rust and get back into the groove of racing," said Head Coach Andrew LUm.

"We really enjoyed the energy La Verne brought and it was a good checkpoint for us in our conditioning phase of training. We look forward to another great block of work as we prepare for the gauntlet of NWC competition in November."

Tyler Tanaka, Matt Jones, and Emma Gassman headlined the night, each winning three events. That trio plus Anna Haneda got the meet started with a bang, winning the mixed 200-yard medley relay in a time of one minute, 49.79 seconds.
