Complete USC Regional Poll
TACOMA, Wash. — The United Soccer Coaches' (USC) Region X Poll saw little movement on Tuesday with the eight-time reigning Northwest Conference Champion Pacific Lutheran University women's soccer team remaining sixth in the rankings.
The Lutes (9-2-5) hold steady at No. 6 for the third consecutive week while appearing in the rankings for the fifth straight poll. Crosstown rival University of Puget Sound (9-2-5) sits one spot above the Lutes in fifth and is the only other NWC squad represented in the poll.
The top seven remained unchanged from a week ago, with the only change being Texas Lutheran University (10-3-2) climbing into the rankings at No. 8.
Three California programs own the top three spots with Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (12-0-3) occupying the top spot for the eighth straight week. California Lutheran University (12-2-2) is second followed by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (12-2-3) in third. Trinity University (10-1-4) is fourth as the top team from Texas.Â
Pacific Lutheran has played five games against regionally-ranked teams, battling Pomona-Pitzer, Cal Lutheran, and Trinity during the non-conference slate in September while having faced Puget Sound twice during league action.
The Lutes sit in first place in the NWC standings with four games remaining. PLU is back on the field on Saturday, playing Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon.Â
