NORTH PLAINS, Ore. — The Pacific Lutheran University men's golf team placed fifth out of 13 teams on Sunday.
Going into day two of the Pacific Invitational the Lutes sat in sixth overall.
Koen Solis led the charge for PLU finishing tied for 11th after shooting a 71-71--142 (E) on the weekend.
Luke Pendergraft finished just behind Solis, tying for 15th after shooting a 68-76--144 (+2).
Luke Butler and
Soren Bostrom round out the top four finishing tied for 24th shooting a 70-76--146 (+4) and 71-75--146 (+4) respectively.
The Lutes finished the two day tournament at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club with a score of 580. PLu shot a 287 on Saturday before carding a 293 on Sunday, finishing one stroke behind Lewis & Clark College (286-293) and four strokes behind third place George Fox University (281-295). 25th-ranked Willamette Universitry won the team title, shooting a 562 (277-285) to win by six strokes. Whitman College's Mason Remington took top honors, finishing eight under for the event with a 134 (67-67).Â
Lutes are back in action on October 12-13 in the NWC Fall Classic hosted by the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers.
