TACOMA, Wash.— The Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team continues build momentum defeating Northwest Conference foe Linfield University Wildcats 114-90 on Saturday afternoon.
"I could have not have written this script," Head Coach
Andrew Lum noted. "As a coaching staff we are trying to find healthy challenges over the course of a meet. We are always curious to see how they react and it was beautiful today. It was measured aggression and its been something we've been working on all season. We want them to be able get everything out of that tank. We are super excited to see wear the rest of this season goes."
PLU got things rolling with the 200 yard medley relay (A:

Kei Nishikawa,
Ella Norby) taking first and second with time of 1:55.59 and 2:06.67. Lutes continue to put pressure on the Wildcats as they go one, two, and three in the 200 yard freestyle as Nishikawa,
Emma Gassman, and Canessa continue to rack up points. Going in to the first break PLU had a 52-41 advantage. Nishikawa continued to bring it finishing first in the 100 butterfly. Gassman added to the momentum winning the 100 yard backstroke. After a strong performance by
Scout Hawkins in the 500 yard freestyle PLU would lead 90-78 going in to the last two events. Canessa unlocked a new gear winning the 100 yard breaststroke witha 1:08.39. The final 200 yard freestyle relay would decide the dual-meet as PLU took first place by 0.25 seconds.
PLU is back in the pool on November 22nd as they travel to George Fox University for the Bruin Invitational.
