MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Men's Golf team capped off the 2024-25 season on Monday afternoon at the Northwest Conference Championships,
Soren Bostrom and
Koen Solis led the Lutes for both rounds, with each finishing tied for ninth. As a team, the Lutes matched their finish from last season, fifth in the NWC.

The Lutes began the opening round on the back-nine, where Solis birdied three over four holes to shoot a one-under 34. He closed out the opening round with a 73, good for eighth-place. The junior finished the tournament on Monday with a four-over 76, dropping him back one spot, as he tied for ninth for the tournament.

Freshman
Soren Bostrom followed close behind Solis in the opening round, as his 74 put him in ninth. He improved on the second round, making two birdies in his final three holes to shoot a 75, tying him with Solis for the tournament. Bostrom led the Lutes with a team-high eight total birdies over the two rounds.

Sophomore
Tanner Frinell made par on each of his last four holes in round one to shoot a three-over 75, returning with a 78 to close out the season on Monday. Frinell rebounded from a difficult front nine in the final round to shoot a 37 on his final nine holes to finish in 18
th-place.

Marcus Otto fired an opening-round 79, including three birdies on his final nine holes of play. The sophomore matched his 79 on Monday, taking 34
th for the tournament.
Luke Butler rounded out the Lutes lineup in the season finale, as he matched Otto in the opening round with a 79. Butler finished his season with an 81, and in 37
th place for the tournament.

The Lutes finished the conference season tied for fifth as a team with Lewis & Clark, falling four shots short of George Fox, and seven strokes ahead of Pacific. Truman Fletcher of George Fox and Douglas Bailey of Linfield tied for medalist honors individually, each shooting a two-under 142 for the tournament.

All eight of our players are returning and I know we will be better next season. These guys are motivated to get into the mix next year." Said Head Coach

The PLU men's golf team averaged a score of 299 over 20 rounds during the 2024-25 season, with Solis leading the charge with an average per-round score of 73.55.
