MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Golf team completed the 2024-25 season on Monday afternoon, finishing in seventh as a team at the Northwest Conference Championships at Michelbook Country Club.

Freshman
Emily Alicea led the Lutes for the tournament, as she shot a new collegiate low score in the opening round, a 78; featuring 10 pars and a birdie, and a one-over total over her final 12 holes of the day. Alicea was in tenth after the first 18-holes, but finished in 19
th after closing out the tournament with an 87.

Matelski began her tournament with an 82 in the first round, as she and Alicea each carded one birdie in the first round, with Matelski's coming on the par-five eleventh hole. The sophomore doubled her birdie total in round two, shooting an 87, including finishing one-under in her final three holes of the season. Matelski finished inside the top-25, taking 24
th for the tournament.

Sophomore
Ashley Nguyen began her tournament on Easter Sunday with an 85, before leading the Lutes in the final round, as she shot an 86 with a birdie on the par-four eighth hole. Nguyen finished the tournament in 27
th, just two strokes behind Matelski.

Kathleen Pullin began the tournament with a 93 in round one, she was the only Lute to improve in round two, as she tied her season-best score, shooting an 87. The six-stroke improvement was highlighted by a birdie on the par-five fifth hole on Monday afternoon. Pullin jumped two spots up the leaderboard with Monday's round, finishing in 33
rd.

The Lutes season comes to an end, as they finish in seventh-place at the NWC Championships, 19-strokes clear of Linfield and just three behind cross-town rival Puget Sound. No.3-ranked George Fox claimed the team title, finishing 25-strokes ahead of the Whitman Blues. Alison Takamiya of George Fox took home the individual title, shooting a five-under 137 to win by 12.

The PLU women's golf team averaged a team score of 343.84 over 19 total rounds during the 2024-25 season. Matelski led the way for the team, with an average score of 81.16 per round.
