TACOMA, Wash. -Â Depth proved the deciding factor in Saturday's season opener for the Pacific Lutheran University men's swimming team, edging past Northwest Conference rival University of Puget Sound 99-82 despite winning just four of the 10 events contested at the PLU Pool.
"Today was a great day, two wins against the Loggers is always a reason to celebrate," said Head Coach
Matt Sellman.
"Not to mention how long we've been working and trying to get back into competition. I was so proud of the attitude and excitement the teams showed today. There was a lot of rust to break off after almost a full year out of competition but they went for it and when races and the meet were tight, they were at their best."
