BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University track & field programs boasted a pair of event winners on Saturday, competing at the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational hosted by Western Washington University.

2022 Northwest Conference men's shot put champion
Masum Real won the discus throw on Saturday, launching the implement 155 feet, five inches to net the win with teammate
Larson Fairbairn second with a toss of 151' 4".
Wyatt Tayon was the third Lute in the top five, placing fifth with a toss of 141' 11". Real additionally placed third in the shot put (48' 4").

Lily Luksich won the women's pole vault, clearing 11' 11 ¾" while
Georjina Soliai set a personal best in the shot put, placing fourth with a mark of 40' 7 ¾".Â

Corey Solomon was runner-up in the men's pole vault, vaulting 15' 0" while on the track
Stefans Lusis was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in nine minutes, 36.90 seconds.
Grady Lemma was third in the 200-meters (23.06) while
Jonah Maier tallied a PR in the 800, clocking a 2:01.75.
