TACOMA, Wash. — Vyron Domingo accounted for three of the Lutes' eight event wins on Saturday, helping the Pacific Lutheran University men's swimming team to a 142-103 dual meet victory over Northwest Conference rival Lewis & Clark College.

"We're in a tough training block eight now, the hardest in my four years here. "It took a lot of grit and borderline stubbornness from the Lutes to earn the dual win today against a quality Lewis & Clark squad," said Head Coach

Domingo and the Lutes came out of the gate swinging, winning the 400-yard medley relay to begin the meet. Domingo,
Tyler Tanaka,
Dylan Dang, and
Anthony James tallied a nine-second win over the River Otters, stopping the clock in three minutes, 37.75 seconds.Â

Domingo and the Lutes occupied the top four spots in the 50-yard backstroke, leading the pack with a time of 25.23 with
Christian Georgi second in 26.58. Domingo later won the 200-yard individual medley in 1:59.51 with
August Hertz second (2:09.40) and Georgi third (2:09.95).Â

Matt Jones took top billing in the 50-yard breaststroke in 27.72 while also winning the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.03.Â

Aidan Koshinsky edged out the River Otters' Reid McAllister by a split second to win the 500-yard freestyle in 5:36.06.

PLU closed the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay with Dang,
Elijah Vickery,
Sebastian Arellano, and James fnishing in 3:24.34 with the Lutes' B team placing second in 3:33.23.

Hoskoo Amgalan was runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.31). The Lutes also had second place finishers in Tanaka in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.43) and 100-yard freestyle (51.17), James in the 50-yard freestyle (23.24), Georgi in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.36), and Dang in the 50-yard butterfly (24.27).

The Lutes (2-0) are back in action on Friday night, hosting Willamette University at 6 p.m. inside the PLU Pool.Â
