SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Pacific Lutheran University men's track & field team closed out the indoor season in style on Saturday, turning in a strong performance at the Whitworth Invitational held at The Podium.
"It was good to get the bulk of the team debuting this weekend," said Head Coach
Trey Henderson.

"We had really strong performances and a lot of our first years got to debut and have their first college experience."

Hunter Kleindl vaulted 14' 3 ¼" to place third in the pole vault while teammate Garret Armbruster was 12th with a clearance of 13' 3 ½".
Bridger Hanis was fourth in the high jump, clearing 5' 10 ¾" while
Seth Kramer was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 21' 5 ½". Hanis also placed ninth in the triple jump with a jump of 38' 1 ¼".
In the throws,
George Sonko had a toss of 41' 1" in the shot put while
Micah Ragaza-Bourassa led the Lutes in the weight throw with a personal best effort of 39' 0 ¼".
Tyger Willingham was the top Lute in the 60-meters, finishing in 7.17 while
Jack Erickson boasted the top 200-meter time for the team, circling the oval in 23.21 while
Seth Kramer finished in 23.27. Erickson also ran the 400-meters, finishing in 55.54.
Noah Friedrich was the fastest Lute in the 3,000-meters, looping the track in 9:08.62 in the invitational heat.
"I think we're in a good spot at this time of the year with a lot of growth ahead of us. Now it's about getting back to work as we prepare for the start of the outdoor season."
PLU takes the next two weeks off and will begin the outdoor campaign on March 6 at the University of Puget Sound's Ed Boitano Invitational.
