PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team put forth a dominating effort for the second straight day, winning all 11 events contested against Lewis and Clark College on Saturday for its second Northwest Conference victory of the weekend.
The Lutes blew past Willamette University last night 159-42 and nearly beat the Pioneers by an identical score on Saturday, defeating the home team 160-45.

Lauren Kearney teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay (1:53.47) by nearly six seconds. The quartet of
Maya Lovre,
Reina Kim,
Claire Cranch and
Tess Ritcey came in second to earn four more points (1:59.04).
Hannah VanHeyningen took the top honors in the 1,000 freestyle (11:21.28), finishing over 10 seconds in front of the second place competitor. Hamilton,
Victoria Nguyenle and Mundle placed 1-2-3 in the 200 free, with Hamilton touching the wall first in 2:01.69.
PLU continued to widen the lead in the 50 free as
Sidney Chan-Orcutt and
Bridget Duven took the top two spots. Cranch continued the sweep for the Lutes by placing first in the 400 individual medley by over 17 seconds (4:42.05). Later on, Cranch won the other distant event, placing first in the 500 free (5:26.22).
Hamilton won her second event in the 100 butterfly (1:01.92), while Nguyenle topped the podium in the 100 free (56.88) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.68). Kishaba blew past the field in the 100 backstroke (1:00.37) when she touched the wall five seconds ahead of the field.
The foursome of Chan-Orcutt,
Alex Shannon, Duven and Lovre put the finishing touches on the weekend with a close first-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:46.13).
The Lutes will take next weekend off before hosting their first competition of the year on Saturday, November 16 when they welcome George Fox University to Tacoma at 1:00 p.m.
