TACOMA, Wash. -Â The Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team was firing on all cylinders in Tuesday's season opener, extending its dual meet win streak to 19 with a decisive 134-51 victory over Division II University of Nebraska-Kearney.

The Lutes (1-0) won all 10 events contested with
Bailey Hamilton,
Malia Wisham, and
Jessica Ordaz each finishing the night with three event wins.
"We're really excited to have some real competition tonight. The team was clearly enthusiastic about competing in a more normal environment and swam like it," said Head Coach
Matt Sellman.
"We had some surprising early season swims that will give a lot of confidence moving forward and also some swims that tell us we need to do some serious work to get where we want to go. But overall, lots of fun to be on deck with both the men and women and just soaking up the energy of real competition again."

The foursome of
Annika Eisele, Hamilton,
Isabella Valles, and
Sidney Chan-Orcutt set the tone, winning the 400-yard medley relay in four minutes, 9.77 seconds to open the dual.

Wisham earned a six-second victory in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 1:59.58 before claiming the 500-yard freestyle by a comfortable 25-second margin (5:18.06).

Ordaz secured the win in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.90 while clocking a 54.06 in the 100-yard freestyle for her second victory of the meet.

Claire Cranch took top billing in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing in 2:20.14 while Eisele secured the win in the 50-yard backstroke in 29.08. Valles edged out teammate
Makenzie Chan-Orcutt for the top spot in the 50-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 32.71.

Hamilton earned the win in the 50-yard butterfly in 27.28 before teaming up with Wisham,
Sidney Chan-Orcutt, and Ordaz to win the 400-yard freestyle in 3:47.20 for the clean sweep of all 10 events.

The men's squad conducted an intrasquad meet that saw
Seth Koivisto,
Devin Stanley, Charlie Cutter,
Na'inoa Loo, and
Jared Toschi all win multiple events.

The Lutes are back in the pool on Oct. 29, competing at the NWC Sprints in Forest Grove, Oregon.
